Apple, Blue Cheese, Cranberry and Sprouts Salad

When you want a healthy meal that is quick and involves no cooking you often turn to a salad. Here a favorite salad recipe that will leave you with that full feeling and doesn’t skimp on flavor. With Using Blue cheese, dried cranberries, royal gala apples, sprouts and more tossed with an Italian vinaigrette it is sure to satisfy anyone.


Yield: 4 large salads or 8 small salads


Romaine lettuce 1 heart
Gala apple 1 medium
Red bell pepper 1/2
Red onion 2-3 slices
Cucumber 1/2 medium
Blue cheese crumbles 3 ounces
Dried cranberries 1/4 cup packed
Walnuts, chopped 1/4 cup
Italian vinaigrette dressing 1/4 cup
Sprouts, alpha 1 ounce
Croutons about 2 dozen


  1. Chop romaine lettuce, slice apples, red bell peppers, red onions and cucumbers.
  2. Add lettuce, apples, red bell peppers, red onions, cucumbers, blue cheese, dried cranberries,  and walnuts to a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle the italian vinaigrette dressing over the ingredients in the bowl and toss to evenly coat.
  4. Divide out onto plates.
  5. Top with sprouts and croutons.
